Description

Ebru: The Ancient Art of Turkish Water Marbling Thursday, May 28 | 2–4 PM Ebru: The Ancient Art of Turkish Water Marbling Instructor | Emine Tavas Thursday, May 28 | 6-8 PM Watch color come alive — swirling, blooming, and dancing across water in real time. Ebru is one of the world's most captivating art forms. Rooted in centuries of Turkish tradition, this mesmerizing technique involves floating richly pigmented inks on the surface of water, then coaxing them into breathtaking patterns with nothing more than a stylus and your intuition. No two pieces are ever alike — every creation is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between artist and element. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the meditative rhythm of Ebru — from delicate floral motifs to bold swirling abstracts — and leave with two original marbled works of art to frame, gift, or treasure. No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity. As you create, sip authentic Turkish tea and enjoy traditional treats in true Ottoman spirit. Limited seats available. All materials, tea and Turkish treats included.
